Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio secured pole position this Saturday (28) for the United States GP, the third round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the final phase of qualifying held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, the VR46 Ducati rider clocked 2min00s136, taking the top spot for the second time this year, repeating his performance from last week in Brazil.

Second place on the grid went to Marco Bezzecchi, the Aprilia rider who leads the championship, beaten in Austin qualifying by 0s193 by Di Giannantonio. Pedro Acosta, on a KTM, completes the front row of the grid. Francesco Bagnaia, on a factory Ducati, starts fourth, followed by Joan Mir, fifth on a Honda. Marc Márquez, Bagnaia’s teammate, rounds out the top six.
Jorge Martín, on a factory Aprilia, secured seventh on the grid, opening a third row that also includes Álex Márquez, on a Gresini Ducati, and Luca Marini, on a Honda. Fermín Aldeguer, on the other Gresini Ducati, starts tenth, just ahead of Ai Ogura, 11th on the Trackhouse Aprilia. The top 12 on the grid at the Circuit of the Americas also includes Enea Bastianini, on a Tech3 KTM.

The only Brazilian on the MotoGP grid, Diogo Moreira had his best performance of the weekend precisely in qualifying. The LCR rider, a Honda satellite team, was the fourth best in the initial phase of qualifying and will start from 14th position in this weekend’s races, positioned in the middle of the fifth row of the grid.
Also this Saturday, starting at 17h, the Sprint will be held in Austin. The MotoGP United States GP starts this Sunday at 17h.
