The race took decisive turns in the very first laps, when Marc, who started from pole, initially took the lead. Alex reacted quickly, took the lead, and saw his brother retire on lap 2 after a crash at turn 11, compromising his championship bid.
With the path clear, Alex Marquez controlled the race and opened a progressive lead over Bezzecchi. The Italian maintained a consistent pace to secure second place, while Fabio Di Giannantonio completed the podium after overtaking Jorge Martin in the initial laps.
Alex’s lead reached over 1.5 seconds by the halfway point of the race, allowing for a calm management until the checkered flag. In the final laps, the Spaniard merely managed the gap, crossing the finish line to claim his second consecutive victory at the Spanish GP.
