Valentín Perrone secured pole position for the Catalonia GP, the sixth round of the 2026 Moto3 season. In the final phase of qualifying held on the morning of this Saturday (16) at the Barcelona Circuit in Spain, the Tech3 rider recorded 1min46s679, earning the honor position for Sunday’s race.

The second position on the grid went to David Muñoz, IntactGP rider who was beaten by Perrone by just 0.005 seconds. The front row will also feature Brian Uriarte, Ajo rider who was 0.014 seconds behind the pole. David Almansa, Muñoz’s teammate, will start from fourth position, opening a second row that also includes Marco Morelli from Aspar and Jesús Ríos from Snipers.
Championship leader Máximo Quiles will start from seventh position with Aspar, while Joel Kelso from MLav starts eighth. Adrián Fernández, with a bike prepared by Leopard Racing, starts tenth. Fastest on Friday, Hakim Danish starts tenth with MSI, with Joel Esteban from MTA and Connor O’Gorman from SIC58 closing out the top 12.

The third-placed rider in the championship, Álvaro Carpe, will need to make a recovery race. The Ajo team rider was in the fight for the decisive phase of qualifying but only managed 14th place, starting from the fifth row at the Montmeló circuit.
The Moto3 Catalonia GP will be held this Sunday (17), with the start scheduled for 6 a.m.
