Izan Guevara conquered the pole position for the French GP, the fifth round of the 2026 Moto2 season. In the final phase of qualifying held this Saturday (9) at the Le Mans circuit, the Pramac rider set his best lap at 1min33s910, securing the honor position in the race scheduled for Sunday morning.

The second position on the grid went to Daniel Holgado, an Aspar rider who was beaten by Guevara by 0.086 seconds. Filip Salac, with the American Racing Team, completes the front row in third position. Barry Baltus starts fourth with a Fantic bike, while Manuel González, from Intact GP, and Joe Roberts, Baltus’s teammate, close the top 6.
David Alonso will start from seventh position with a bike prepared by Aspar, followed by Alonso López, eighth with Aspar. Celestino Vietti will start from ninth place with SpeedRS. Collin Veijer opens the fourth row after taking tenth position with Ajo. Senna Agius, from Intact GP, and Sergio García, from Gresini, complete the list of the top 12 on the grid.
