The second stage of TCR South will feature the arrival of new drivers in the competition. After the opening in Curvelo (MG), which registered the highest number of entries in the series, the stage in Cascavel (PR), which takes place between March 27 and 29, will be marked by debuts. Among the new additions, Guilherme Reischl is already confirmed to race for Cobra Racing Team, while Gabryel Romano will make his debut in the South American category for Porthack Racing.

Romano, an 18-year-old from São Paulo, began his career in karting, following the path of many great talents in Brazilian motorsport. His natural ability on the track allowed him to build a solid career, progressing to touring car categories and gaining prominence among the most competitive teams in the country. Now, he will compete in the Junior Cup, intended for drivers under 25 years old and with fewer than six races under the TCR World Championship regulations, reinforcing his potential as a promising young talent in the region.
Furthermore, Porthack Racing will make its first participation in TCR South America with two cars. Almost a year after its debut in the category, the Brazilian team will field two Honda Civic Type R FK7s, driven by Romano and fellow countryman Enzo Falquete, who already competed in the championship’s opening stage.

Gabryel Romano’s official debut in a TCR car will take place next Friday, with the start of the category’s activities at the Zilmar Beux International Racetrack in Cascavel.
