The Zilmar Beux International Racetrack, in Cascavel (PR), hosts this weekend, between March 27 and 29, the second stage of the 2026 TCR South America season, on one of the fastest and most challenging circuits on the calendar, marked by the traditional “Bacião” curve.

After the opening in Curvelo (MG), Juan Ángel Rosso leads the championship with 58 points, followed by Néstor Girolami, with 55. Camilo Trappa (53) and Leonel Pernía (51) complete the top positions. The stage also marks the arrival of Brazilians Guilherme Reischl, with Audi RS3 LMS Gen2, and Gabryel Romano, with Honda Civic Type R FK7.
In TCR Brasil, the stage follows a balanced start in Curvelo, with victories by Leonel Pernía and Nelson Piquet Jr. Raphael Reis leads the championship, followed by Celso Neto and Pernía, while Piquet also appears among the main contenders in the dispute. Reis and Neto’s consistency was highlighted in the opening, reinforcing the balance of the category, which brings together different manufacturers and promises new heated disputes.
“We had good races in Curvelo at the opening of TCR Brasil and we came out leading the championship. Cascavel is a very challenging track and the Bacião turn is always an attraction on the calendar for all drivers. Our year has been positive, both in Brazil and in the United States, and I want to take advantage of this good moment to score well again in Cascavel,” said Raphael Reis.

At the category’s last visit to Cascavel, in 2024, the victories went to Rodrigo Baptista, Fabian Yannantuoni, Galid Osman and Juan Ángel Rosso. In the same season, the TCR Brasil title was won by Pedro Cardoso.
The expectation is for another balanced weekend in the Paraná city. The schedule includes two free practice sessions on Friday (27). On Saturday (28), qualifying will be at 12pm, followed by race 1, at 3:30pm. Race 2 takes place on Sunday (29), at 2pm, with broadcast on BandSports and on Gazeta Esportiva and TCR channels on YouTube.
