In his second of three scheduled races in New Smyrna in Pro Late Models, a feeder category for American NASCAR, Gabriel Casagrande was once again a standout with good overtakes on the oval circuit to secure second place this Wednesday night.
The three-time Stock Car champion had already finished second in last Sunday’s race and remains excited about the good results with the number 96 car from the Nexus Racing team.
“It was another cool race where we were close to victory. It was a day where we only had one free practice session before qualifying due to rain and finished qualifying in seventh. We knew our race pace was good and we were able to prove that once again,” says Casagrande.
