The third round of TCR South America, which takes place between April 24 and 26 at the Interlagos Autodrome, marks an important challenge for the grid’s drivers, who will face a one-hour race in pairs. This is especially true for young drivers in an adaptation phase, such as Argentina’s Nicolás Fuca, who is in his first season with touring cars, after a career in karting.

At 18 years old, Fuca, who is one of Argentine motorsport’s promising talents, sees his participation in the continental championship as an opportunity for growth. Speaking with F1MANIA.NET, he explained his vision: “I think it’s an important moment in my life, as I’m starting in international motorsport. It has been a beautiful time, with many new experiences.”

Coming from karting, Fuca is still going through the transition process to touring cars. One of the main points highlighted by the young driver is the physical demand, especially due to the high temperatures inside the car. “The most difficult thing is the heat and being able to withstand it throughout the race. The rest comes with adaptation and practice.”

The format of the Interlagos round adds an extra degree of complexity: “I have to endure and maintain the pace throughout the race alongside my teammate, which will be the most important thing in such a long race,” the young driver reinforced. “Being fast is important, but being able to maintain that pace is the best scenario.”

Fuca also revealed his feelings about competing at the Interlagos Autodrome: “I never thought, I didn’t imagine, but it’s incredible. I’m sure it will be a very good experience and I want to make the most of it.”

Nicolás Fuca will be on track throughout the weekend in the Paladini Racing car alongside Uruguay’s Santiago Urrutia. The TCR South America Super Challenge race at Interlagos takes place on Sunday (26), starting at 2:30 PM, with broadcast on the category’s official channels and on TV Gazeta.
