Freddie Slater secured pole position this Friday (3) for the fifth round of the 2026 Formula 3 season. In the qualifying session held this morning at the Silverstone circuit in England, the Trident driver recorded 1min45s620 in the final moments, earning the honor position for Sunday’s race.

The second position went to Theóphile Nael, a Campos Racing driver who was 0.260 seconds behind Slater. Louis Sharp, with a Prema car, finished third in qualifying and will share the second row on Sunday with Ernesto Rivera, fourth for Campos Racing. Matteo de Palo, with Trident, was the fifth fastest, followed by Fionn McLaghlin, sixth with Hitech.
Noah Stromsted, with a Trident car, will start from seventh position in the main race, with Maciej Gladysz of ART Grand Prix alongside in eighth. James Wharton, from Prema, took ninth place, while Alessandro Giusti, from MP Motorsport, was tenth. Yevan David, from AIX Racing, was 11th, while Ugo Ugochukwu, from Campos Racing, closes the top 12 and starts at the front in the Sprint.

The two Brazilian drivers on the Formula 3 grid will have to make recovery races this weekend. Pedro Clerot qualified 21st on the grid with a Rodin Motorsport car. Fernando Barrichello, with an AIX Racing car, starts from 29th position.
After qualifying, Formula 3 continues the schedule at Silverstone with the races. The Sprint is scheduled for 5:35 AM this Saturday (4), while the main race takes place on Sunday at 4:25 AM.
