Nicola Lacorte won in the early hours of this Sunday (6) the main race of the penultimate round of the 2026 Formula 3 season, held at the Monza National Autodrome, in Italy. The DAMS driver was in the leading group all the time and took the first position on the 17th of the 22 laps of the race, going on to secure his first victory in the category.

The second position went to Tuukka Taponen, MP Motorsport driver who finished the race just seven tenths behind Lacorte. Taito Kato, winner of the Sprint on Saturday, completed the podium with an ART Grand Prix car. Yevan David was fourth with AIX Racing, after overtaking Kanato Le on the last lap, leaving the Japanese ART Grand Prix driver in fifth place.

Hiyu Yamakoshi, with a car prepared by Van Amersfoort, finished sixth, followed by Noah Stromsted, seventh with Trident. Ugo Ugochukwu recovered from an incident at the start of the race that pushed him to the back of the grid and finished eighth with Campos Racing, just ahead of Enzo Deligny, ninth with Van Amersfoort. James Wharton, from Prema, was tenth.
The race was disastrous for the championship leader, Freddie Slater. Without performance throughout the race, the Trident driver had problems and later lost one of the wheels, retiring from the race and causing a Safety Car deployment. The race, by the way, was neutralized again on the third lap after an incident between Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi and Fionn McLaughlin, with the Irishman retiring.

The race was also bad for the two Brazilians on the grid. Pedro Clerot was only 22nd after receiving a touch and spinning with the Rodin Motorsports car when he was in the points zone. Fernando Barrichello, from AIX Racing, retired from the race in the final laps while trying to recover from an off-track excursion when he was in the points zone on the fifth lap.

The 2026 F3 season will conclude next weekend, when the Madrid round will be held in Spain.
