Freddie Slater maintained the lead in the Formula 3 championship after the conclusion of the penultimate round of the 2026 season, held at the Monza National Circuit in Italy. Even after retiring from Sunday’s race (6), the Trident driver holds the top spot in the standings, accumulating 141 points after eight rounds.

Second place belongs to Ugo Ugochukwu, who made a recovery drive this Sunday to finish eighth, reaching 126 points in the championship. The American from Campos Racing is the only one who can take the title from Slater. Ernesto Rivera, with 76, is third, followed by Theóphile Nael, fourth with 75. Brando Badoer, Taito Kato, and Hiyu Yamakoshi complete the top 5, all with 71 points.
The Brazilians had a bad weekend and did not score points in the two races in Italy after being involved in incidents. Thus, Pedro Clerot is now 12th with 48 points, while Fernando Barrichello is 27th, scoring two points.
