Brazilian Rafael Câmara secured another top-10 finish in the 2026 Formula 2 season this Saturday (6), completing the Sprint race of the fourth round of the championship, held on the street circuit in Monte Carlo, Monaco, in eighth position. The result guaranteed another point for the Invicta Racing driver.

Câmara, who secured pole position for this Sunday’s race, started from tenth position due to the reverse grid for the Sprint. Right in the initial meters, the Brazilian advanced into the points zone, taking eighth place. With an extremely tight track and an incident-free race, the current Formula 3 champion continued to finish the race.
“It wasn’t the most fun race, a bit boring, to be honest, but Monaco can be like that. I was trying to set the fastest lap, but in the end, I didn’t feel very comfortable trying that either. So, we limited ourselves to doing a few consecutive laps at a fast pace to assess the balance for tomorrow and understand what we need to improve,” said Rafael Câmara, a driver who is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
“But I’m happy, we had a good start today, we managed to reach eighth position and thus gain a point, which is always important for the championship. I’m very happy with today and now we are just analyzing what we need to improve for tomorrow,” added the Brazilian from Invicta Racing.

This morning’s result guarantees Câmara another race in the points zone, repeating the performance of the other three double-headers, where the Brazilian scored in at least one race. Rafael has accumulated two podiums and four top-ten finishes in at least one race of each double-header.
The main race of the Monaco Formula 2 round will be held this Sunday, starting at 4:25 AM. Sportv, Globoplay, and F1TV will broadcast the race.
