Brazilian Rafael Câmara was the fastest driver on the second day of Formula 2 pre-season testing, held this Wednesday (18) at the Barcelona Circuit in Spain. The Invicta driver and current Formula 3 champion recorded 1min23s630 on his best lap, a time obtained in the first of the day’s two sessions. The driver also completed 61 laps in the sum of the two activities.

Second place ended up in the hands of Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, an ART Grand Prix driver who was 0s018 slower than Câmara. John Bennett, in a Trident car, set the third fastest time, finishing ahead of Martinius Stenshorne, fourth with Rodin. Nicolas Varrone, an Argentine from Van Amersfoort, completed the top five list.
Oliver Goethe, from MP Motorsport, finished Wednesday in sixth place, ahead of Kush Maini, seventh with ART Grand Prix. Indy star and seeking a spot in F1, Colton Herta was eighth with Hitech, while Laurens Vanthoor, from Trident, was ninth. The group of the ten fastest in Barcelona also included Dino Beganovic, from DAMS.

Another Brazilian on the 2026 F2 grid, Emmo Fittipaldi finished the day in 18th place with an AIX Racing car. In the second session of the day, the rookie was the fourth fastest in a training session led by Joshua Durksen, with 1min25s363, which featured Câmara in third position.
F2 pre-season testing will conclude this Thursday, again with activities in Barcelona. The 2026 championship will open on March 6, 7, and 8, with the Australian round in Melbourne.
