The week started promisingly for the British team, which announced the renewal of its two drivers until at least next season. However, in the race, the Anglo-Thai crossed the finish line in 17th.
“A difficult day. I expected the weather conditions to last longer, as I think we could have had an interesting race in those mixed conditions, but unfortunately, it was not possible. We don’t have car pace. We need to ensure we bring performance to the car, efficiently and quickly, but that won’t happen in the next races,” he said.
“Although our cars touched, we put Carlos in a complicated situation, with very worn tires; for us, whether fighting for 14th place or points, we want to ensure we have the same level of tenacity and determination. Unfortunately, we accumulated some damage this weekend, so we need to take advantage of the break before Monza to fix this.”

As for the Spaniard, who during the race collided with his teammate and was even penalized, he finished the day only in 16th. “First of all, I apologize to Alex and the team for the contact at the end of the race. I was on very worn hard tires and braked over the bump on turn 1; the wheels locked and I couldn’t stop the car in time. Obviously, it was the last thing I wanted to end a weekend that was already difficult. Once again, I apologize to him and the team,” he commented.
