Despite the repercussion, the feature film has not yet been produced. The trailer was created by a group from Bulgaria that intends to develop a full film about the seven-time world champion, considered by many to be one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history.
Titled ‘The Kaiser’, the trailer serves as a pilot project for a future production. According to those responsible, the proposal combines real historical events from Schumacher’s career with a fictional narrative, creating a cinematic approach to the German’s trajectory.
The release of the video provoked varied reactions among Formula 1 fans. Part of the public praised the initiative and the attempt to bring the former driver’s story to the cinema, highlighting the importance of such a production to portray the seven-time champion’s career.
On the other hand, criticism also emerged, mainly related to the project’s title. Some fans pointed out that Schumacher is not frequently called ‘The Kaiser’, which raised questions about the choice of name for the production.

Another point noted by the public was the noticeable Bulgarian accent of the main actors in the trailer. Even so, those responsible for the project demonstrated their intention to proceed with the development of the full film.
To make the production viable, the group started a crowdfunding campaign. The goal is to raise 100,000 euros, the amount needed to transform the pilot project into a full-length feature film about Schumacher’s career.
Even with divided opinions, the initiative has rekindled interest in a cinematic production dedicated to the seven-time champion. To date, although documentaries have been released, there is still no full-length film about the trajectory of one of the most significant names in Formula 1 history.
