Red Bull Racing arrives at the Canadian Grand Prix of Formula 1 with new updates for Max Verstappen’s RB22. After showing progress at the Miami GP, the team confirmed that it will continue developing the car to try to make it more competitive and comfortable for the four-time world champion.

The weekend in Montreal will also be marked by another Sprint race, increasing the importance of a competitive car from the first session. The team’s expectation is to take advantage of the advances seen in the United States to consolidate performance growth before the European leg of the season.
At the Miami GP, Red Bull introduced a significant package of changes to the RB22. Even without being able to fight for the podium after a spin alone at the start of the race, Verstappen showed an indication that the team managed to take an important step in terms of performance.
For Canada, the team prepared new small updates to the car. Technical director Pierre Waché stated that the data collected in Miami helped identify both the strengths and the limitations that still need to be corrected in the RB22.

“Miami represented a clear step forward for us, with the update package bringing encouraging performance gains and helping to solve some important areas of the car,” said Waché. According to the director, the event also highlighted that there is still room to improve the car’s behavior and extract more performance from the package.
The Frenchman believes that Montreal will be another important test to validate the direction taken by the team in developing the RB22: “Canada will be another good opportunity to evaluate the package along with some small updates this weekend. It was very positive for the team to see progress appear on track after so much work behind the scenes,” he added.
In addition to Verstappen, Isack Hadjar also arrives motivated for the Canadian round, despite the retirement in Miami. The Frenchman said he is eager to get back in the car and believes the team can continue evolving for the rest of the season: “The team delivered a much stronger package after the break in April and we want to continue this progress in Montreal. It’s another weekend with a Sprint format, so there will be many opportunities to perform well and score points,” concluded the young driver.
