Max Verstappen got annoyed with the Racing Bulls duo during the Hungarian GP of Formula 1. In fact, in a non-televised radio message, he asked for the drivers to be penalized.

The Dutchman matched his best 2026 result by finishing second in Hungary, behind only Lando Norris. Also, Budapest saw the Red Bull driver achieve consecutive podiums for the first time this year, after finishing third in Belgium.

It so happens that during the race, the four-time world champion sought a penalty for Arvid Lindblad and Liam Lawson. At one point, he was stuck behind the drivers while both were fighting for position at turn 2.

Despite the blue flag appearing on the dashboard, the British and New Zealander did not give way to the four-time F1 champion, who got annoyed by this fact.

At this point, Verstappen is heard saying “ah, they should be punished. This is f*cking ridiculous, these idiots! My God!”.

It so happens that Max was not the only frontrunner frustrated by backmarkers during the Hungarian GP of Formula 1. Before his retirement, Oscar Piastri collided with Carlos Sainz at turn 2. After the incident, he said on the radio “get the f*ck out of the way, you idiot! My God…”. The Spaniard received a 5-second penalty for the move.
