Lewis Hamilton highlighted his desire to “mobilize the troops” within Ferrari in Mercedes’ pursuit of the 2026 Formula 1 season title.

After 11 rounds of the calendar and on the eve of the start of the second half of the championship, the seven-time world champion is currently in second place in the Drivers’ World Championship, 50 points behind Kimi Antonelli. Meanwhile, in the Constructors’ Championship, the Italian team is 72 points behind the German rival.
The Maranello team has not won a title since 2008, with Kimi Räikkönen the last champion driver in 2007. Therefore, Hamilton believes the team is aligned and has a positive harmony at the factory. “It was a great first part of the season; it’s good, but of course, it could be better. But I think there is a really positive feeling; the harmony between me, my personal team, and the racing team is better than ever,” he said.

“It took us a good amount of time to get to know each other, we are more aligned than ever and I believe this is a very good foundation to build the future. There is still a lot of work to do and improvements needed, like mobilizing the troops, who are extremely passionate,” he continued.
“I have never seen, at the factory, a love and passion for the team like what I see now; it’s just about channeling that and directing it the right way,” he concluded.
