Rain could be one of the main factors for the Formula 1 weekend in Zandvoort. The last Dutch GP at the circuit will have a Sprint format and forecast of low temperatures, as well as the possibility of rain throughout the three days of track activities.

According to the weather forecast, the coastal city on the shores of the North Sea will have a weekend far from the typical summer weather. The weather conditions may become even more important because the 2026 cars have not yet competed in a truly wet session this season.
On Friday, the only free practice and the Sprint qualifying are expected to take place with temperatures around 20°C and a 40% chance of rain. Saturday presents the highest risk of precipitation, with a 45% chance, especially during the Sprint race, while the afternoon should have partly cloudy periods during the qualifying session for the GP, with a high of 19°C.

For Sunday, the forecast indicates the possibility of sunshine, but the cold should remain. The expected maximum temperature is 20°C, while the chance of rain is 21%.
The possibility of rain could create a new scenario for the cars of the current season. Fans came close to witnessing a truly wet session at the Canadian GP, but have not yet had that opportunity in 2026. Therefore, even a relatively small amount of rain in Zandvoort could make the weekend activities more interesting.
