Lewis Hamilton showed satisfaction with the performance in the Sprint qualifying of the Formula 1 Chinese GP, where he finished in fourth position and ahead of teammate Charles Leclerc, who took P6.

The Ferrari driver highlighted that the team managed to react after a complicated free practice, adjusting the car to a more favorable performance condition before the Sprint qualifying.

“I am very satisfied with how the session went today. After a complicated practice, the team did a great job to put the car in a much better window, and it was fantastic to drive,” Hamilton stated.

The Briton highlighted that there are still areas to be improved, especially regarding speed on the straights, which has been the car’s main weakness at this moment: “We still have work to do in Maranello to find more performance on the straights, which has been our main weakness,” he added.

On the other hand, Hamilton highlighted as a positive aspect the car’s behavior in the corners, something he considers encouraging for the rest of the weekend: “We are strong in the corners, which is encouraging. Overall, the car handled well and tomorrow’s Sprint race will be a good opportunity to continue building our weekend,” he concluded.
