“After that, the engine shut off on the formation lap and, since we still haven’t had track time with the car, we’re not absolutely sure what the problem was; from my side, I felt a total shutdown, which is a shame. It was a really horrible weekend, it wasn’t the return we wanted, but we will have some updates next week and I really hope they can improve our performance,” he continued.

The Frenchman retired in the final laps, with his car stopping in the middle of the track and causing a virtual safety car. “We haven’t had reliability issues this year; this is the first, and we think it’s related to the power unit, but we will need to investigate to understand better,” he said.
