Besides the performance on the track, Colapinto highlighted moments off the race, including a memorable meeting with one of his idols. The driver stated that the recent period was one of the most significant of his career.
“Another points result with P8 today, I am very happy. It was a great week, from Buenos Aires to meeting one of my sports heroes, Lionel Messi, and now scoring points in Miami,” he said. He emphasized that the team made the most of the opportunities available in the race.
According to Colapinto, the performance reflected the team’s current position on the grid: “We maximized everything we could today, that’s where we are in the championship. It was a somewhat lonely race in P8, with the top teams still far ahead, but we did solid work on strategy and pit stops,” he said.

The Argentine also commented on important moments of the race, including the recovery after a less than ideal start and a touch with Lewis Hamilton: “I had a somewhat slow start and lost positions, but I managed to recover quickly. I had a small contact with Lewis, but without major damage, so we continued in the race,” he added.
With a consistent pace until the end, Colapinto highlighted the team’s collective effort and already projected the next stage: “The pace was strong and we controlled the race well to finish in P8. Congratulations to the whole team, the work continues for Montreal, where we want to maintain this form and score more points,” he concluded.
