Cadillac left the Miami Formula 1 GP with positive signs of progress, despite modest results. Sergio Perez finished 16th, while Valtteri Bottas was 18th.

Even outside the points zone, the team highlighted progress throughout the weekend. The race pace performance and the data collected reinforce the expectation of improvement in the upcoming stages.
Perez valued the direct on-track battle and the learning gained: “Today was a fun race, especially in the fight with Fernando (Alonso) at the end. He managed to overtake me, but it was a very good battle,” he said. The Mexican also highlighted the car’s potential: “Qualifying and the Sprint were promising, we are seeing positive signs and I think we are not that far from taking some steps forward,” he said.

Bottas faced more difficulties, including a penalty that compromised his race: “It was a complicated day. We felt some improvement with new tires, but the degradation was still very high,” he explained. The Finn detailed the problem: “I received a ‘drive-through’ because the speed limiter was not activated correctly, the button lacked sensitivity,” he added.
The team principal, Graeme Lowdon, assessed the weekend as an important step forward: “It was a positive step, we finished with both cars and managed to compete at pace with others,” he highlighted. According to him, the increase in data volume will be crucial for progress, with focus already on the next stage in Montreal.
