Aston Martin left the Miami Grand Prix of Formula 1 with an important milestone in the season. For the first time this year, both cars crossed the finish line, even far from the points zone.

The result reinforces progress in reliability, a point that had been a problem for the British team. Even so, performance remains below expectations, and the team seeks to maintain focus on evolution for the upcoming races.
Fernando Alonso, who finished P15, highlighted the technical progress but acknowledged that there is still a long way to go: “It’s good to see both cars finishing the race for the first time this season. We are not yet where we want to be, but we managed to collect more data to analyze before Canada,” he said. The Spaniard emphasized that reliability has improved, but now the focus is on performance.

Lance Stroll finished P17 and followed the same line when evaluating the weekend: “It’s positive to have both cars at the finish line and we got more mileage, with fewer vibrations,” he said. However, he admitted that the tire strategy did not work as expected and highlighted the need for improvement in several areas of the car.
The team principal, Mike Krack, explained that the progress in reliability came after joint work with Honda: “We focused on reducing the power unit vibrations in the chassis and that paid off,” he said. Despite the progress, he acknowledged that more performance needs to be extracted from the current package to make the team more competitive in the upcoming stages.
