The TCR South America lands this weekend in a territory still unknown to the category. Between September 12 and 13, the Concordia Autodrome, in Entre Ríos, will host a championship round for the first time, in a race that also gains importance in the decisive stretch of the 2026 season.

Named Copa Concordia Capital Nacional do Citrus, the round will be contested on a 4,700-meter circuit with 14 turns. The layout combines high-speed sectors with braking points that require precision, as well as a chicane positioned after the second corner and a fast opposite straight, two spots that can favor battles throughout the races.
The news also expands the presence of TCR South America in Argentina. After starting the season in Brazil and passing through the Oscar Cabalén Autodrome, the category will have three more commitments on Argentine soil in the second half of the championship: Concordia, Posadas, and Rosario. The calendar will conclude in Uruguay, at the Víctor Borrat Fabini Autodrome, in El Pinar.
The grid formation will have one of the main novelties of the round. Scuderia URT, the arm of Uruguay Racing Team, will make its debut with two Peugeot 308 GTIs and may still put a third car on the track. Argentine Sebastián Quirno and Chilean Nicolás Ambiado will drive the models identified by numbers #11 and #51, respectively. Both will also make their first participation in the South American championship.
The arrival of Scuderia URT also changes the composition of the Uruguay Racing Team itself. Juan Manuel Casella will compete with a Cupra León VZ, while Enrique Maglione will use an Audi RS3 LMS Gen 2. With this, the team will have three different manufacturers among its cars, as Joaquín Cafaro will continue with the Hyundai Elantra N.

Concordia appears on the calendar after seven rounds already held and at a relevant moment for the championship fight. In the previous round, Néstor Girolami and Raphael Reis won the races, while Leonel Pernía, the current champion, scored two important results and remained in the title fight.
The track schedule starts on Friday, the 11th, with the shakedown. Practice and qualifying will be held on Saturday, while Sunday will concentrate the two TCR South America races. The first will be in the morning and the second in the early afternoon, with the traditional inversion of the top ten qualifiers.
The round will also feature an attraction linked to Ayrton Senna. Cars produced by Crespi for the series about the driver available on Netflix will be present at the event, with one of them performing a demonstration on the track.
