Comparatto finishes eighth in the first Porsche Carrera Cup race at Velocitta

This Saturday Matheus Comparatto competed in the qualifying session and the first race of the Velocitta stage of the Porsche Cup, in Mogi Guaçu (SP). The Shell driver secured eighth position in a race marked by safety car interventions.

Starting from fifth place on the grid, Matheus Comparatto maintained his position on the first lap, then the safety car was deployed after a collision between two competitors at the back of the pack. The race was resumed and the Shell driver was putting pressure on the car ahead in search of fourth place.

After an overtaking attempt, Comparatto went off the racing line and dropped to seventh place. On the ninth lap, the safety car was deployed again.

Two laps later the restart took place and Comparatto remained in seventh position. The battles were intense, the race had one more safety car entry and the driver, who is also supported by Randstad, Act Digital, and Basil Park, was in eighth place.

After 16 laps completed, Matheus Comparatto received the checkered flag in eighth.

This Sunday the driver returns to Velocitta for the second race of the stage and will start from eighth place on the grid. Race 2 will be broadcast live on the Band and Bandsports channels, as well as official Porsche Cup digital platforms.
