One of the highlights of Brazilian motorsport competing in Europe, Matheus Ferreira is racing this weekend in the third round of the German Porsche Cup Championship, scheduled for the traditional Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. The Elite GP team driver is in fifth place in the standings after two rounds and is looking to close in on the leaders.

Matheus’s campaign in the German Porsche Cup season is one of the strongest so far. The Brazilian has three finishes among the top five and ended all races in the top ten. The driver, who is also preparing for the Supercup, a category in which he tested last week in Barcelona, heads to the fast 7,004-meter circuit aiming for the top positions.
“We had important preparation days for the Porsche Supercup season in Barcelona, working as a team and making the most of every lap we did on the track. It was days full of learning, but now we turn our attention and focus back to the Spa-Francorchamps round of the German Porsche Cup. We are going for good results to move up in the standings,” said Matheus Ferreira.

The German Porsche Cup schedule in Belgium will have the only official free practice session held this Friday, while qualifying and the first race of the weekend will take place on Saturday at 5:20 AM and 9:10 AM, respectively. The visit to Spa-Francorchamps will conclude on Sunday with the second race at 6:25 AM. YouTube will broadcast the races live.
