Current Formula 3 champion and runner-up in the Formula 2 championship, Rafael Câmara drove a Formula 1 car for the first time. The activity, released in a brief video by Ferrari on social media this Thursday (14), took place at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary and was carried out with the SF-25, the model used by the Italian team in the 2025 season.
The session, which also included Dino Beganovic, started this Wednesday and continued on Thursday. Both Câmara and the Swede are part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, the driver development program of the team based in Maranello.
Câmara joined Ferrari’s driver development program back in 2022 and began to rack up wins and titles. In 2024, he won the Formula Regional European championship, while last year he won Formula 3, both with dominant campaigns.

This season, the Brazilian born in Recife (PE) competes in Formula 2 for Invicta Racing, the team that won the 2024 titles with Gabriel Bortoleto and 2025 with Leonardo Fornaroli. In four races, Câmara has two podiums and is second in the championship.
Câmara returns to race next week when Formula 2 holds the Canadian round, scheduled for Montreal.
