Marc Márquez was the fastest rider on Friday (10) during free practice for the GP of England, the 11th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the session that closed activities at the Sachsenring circuit, the Ducati rider recorded his best lap time of 1min19s394, also securing a direct spot in Q2 of the qualifying.

The second position went to Raúl Fernández, a Trackhouse Aprilia rider who was 0.166 seconds slower than Márquez. Fabio Di Giannantonio, with a VR46 Ducati, was third, followed by Álex Márquez, fourth also with a Ducati, prepared by GRESINI. Jack Miller, with a Pramac Yamaha, was fifth.

Ai Ogura, with a Trackhouse Aprilia, closed the session with the sixth best time, ahead of the championship leader and official Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi, seventh fastest. Jorge Martín, also on an Aprilia, was eighth, while Pedro Acosta, with a KTM, was ninth. The tenth position went to Franco Morbidelli.

The only Brazilian on the full-time MotoGP grid in 2026, Diogo Moreira had a modest result this Friday in free practice. The Honda rider prepared by LCR recorded the 17th time in the second session of the day. Thus, the rider of bike number 11 will have to go through the initial phase of qualifying.
The schedule at Sachsenring will continue this Saturday (11), first with a free practice at 5:10 am, followed by qualifying at 5:50 am. The Sprint takes place the same day at 10 am. The German GP start is scheduled for 9 am on Sunday.
