MotoGP returns to action this weekend with the Italian GP, the seventh round of the 2026 season scheduled for the Mugello circuit. As usual, besides the premier class of world motorcycling, the event will feature races from Moto2, Moto3, and also the second double round of the Harley-Davidson Baggers.

The MotoGP championship is led by Marco Bezzecchi, an Aprilia rider who has 142 points, against 127 from Jorge Martín, his teammate and the runner-up in the standings. Fabio Di Giannantonio, winner in Catalonia, is third with 116, followed by Pedro Acosta, fourth with 92, and Ai Ogura, fifth with 77. Diogo Moreira is 17th with 17 points.
There is also balance in Moto2, with Manuel González leading with 104.5 points, against 86 from Izan Guevara, the second-placed rider. Celestino Vietti is third with 73 points, while Senna Agius, with 65, is fourth. The top five is completed by David Alonso, with 58.
In Moto3, Máximo Quiles leads the championship with 140 points, while second-placed Adrián Fernández has 76 points. Álvaro Carpe, with 73, is third, followed by Marco Morelli and Veda Pratama, both tied for fourth place in the standings, each with 58 points.
The schedule at Mugello will open on Friday with free practice sessions and qualifying sessions that will determine the riders for the final phase of the starting position determination. Saturday features free practice, qualifying, and in MotoGP, the Sprint, as well as the two Baggers races. Sunday is reserved for the races. ESPN and Disney+ will broadcast most of the activities.
