Tsolov, from Campos Racing, was battling for position with Oliver Goethe when, at turns 13 and 14 of the Canadian circuit, he cut the track, not yielding the position to the German driver. For this reason, the Bulgarian driver had ten seconds added to his final race time, dropping from fourth to 12th place, leaving the points zone.
