Brazilian Rafael Câmara maintained the runner-up position in the Formula 2 championship this Saturday (23), finishing the Sprint race, held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada, in seventh place. The Invicta Racing team driver started from 12th position and had to make a recovery race to advance and secure two more points.

Cautious at the start, Câmara lost positions, needing to advance throughout the 28 laps. The Ferrari Driver Academy program member showed strength and patience to gain positions, finishing the race in seventh place, moving up to 36 points in the championship standings after the first race of the weekend.
In his first season in Formula 2, the Brazilian, who is also the current Formula 3 champion, has two podiums, achieved in the main races in Australia and Miami. Starting fifth this Sunday, Câmara aims to maintain the performance of the previous double rounds.
