Formula 2 has a new championship leader after the Sprint race of the third round of the 2026 season, held at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada this Saturday (23). Gabriele Mini, second place in the race won by Noel León, advanced to 42 points, taking the top position in the standings.

Brazilian Rafael Câmara is in second place in the championship, now with 36 points, after finishing seventh in this Saturday’s race. Nikola Tsolov, who found himself out of the points zone after being penalized, is third with 35, while Laurens van Hoepen, already considering the points from this Sunday’s pole position, is fourth with 33, one more than León, now fifth with 32.
Another Brazilian on the grid of the main Formula 1 feeder category, Emmo Fittipaldi scored his first points in the Sprint of the Canadian round of the championship. The AIX Racing driver finished the race in fifth place after 28 laps, earning his first four points and moving up to 17th place in the standings.
