Oliver Bearman had two penalty points removed from his FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) super license ahead of the Canadian GP weekend. The penalty had been applied in May 2025, after the Haas driver overtook Carlos Sainz under a red flag during a free practice session at the Monaco GP.

With the penalty expiration, Bearman reduced his total from 10 to 8 points on the super license. Even so, he remains the driver with the most points on the Formula 1 grid, two ahead of Liam Lawson from Racing Bulls.
Among the still active penalties, four points remain related to the accident caused by Bearman under red flag conditions during the high-speed entry into the pit lane at the 2025 British GP. These points expire on July 5.

The remaining points expire throughout 2026: two for a collision with Carlos Sainz at the Italian GP, one for dangerous driving against Liam Lawson in the São Paulo GP Sprint, and another for changing direction more than once in a defensive maneuver at the Abu Dhabi GP.
Penalty points remain valid for 12 months from the date of the infraction.
