Gabriel Bortoleto experienced something new this Saturday (16). Another weekend without Formula 1, the Brazilian went to follow the Formula E race 1 in Monaco, taking the opportunity to support Felipe Drugovich.

After the Miami GP, the main motorsport category returns to the track now only with the Canadian GP, in Montreal, from May 22 to 24.
So, taking advantage of the fact that the electric category is in the ‘backyard’, Audi’s Formula 1 driver took the opportunity to follow the activities closely and support his friend Drugovich.
“First time I’m at a Formula E stage. I’m here supporting Drugo, I’m very happy to be here invited alongside him. Wow, next door, I couldn’t miss it,” he told the FE reporter.

Asked about how Formula E has more overtakes than Formula 1 in the Principality, Bortoleto replied that “it’s a race where they take great care of the battery, very different from the concept that Formula 1 is today as well, here it’s all about saving the battery the whole race.”
“So, I think that’s why there are a few more overtakes because you can use a bit more, make overtakes, in Formula 1 you’re kind of accelerating a bit more all the time. We’ll see this year because now we have 50% electric motor, maybe the race will be a bit more lively, yes,” he concluded.
