David Muñoz was the fastest rider on Friday (8) during the practice sessions for the French GP, the fifth round of the 2026 Moto3 season, held at the Le Mans circuit. In the last of the two activities held this morning, the Intact GP rider recorded his best lap time of 1min40s211, securing the best time of the day.

Intact GP also saw David Almansa take second place on the timesheet, just 0.014 seconds behind Muñoz’s mark. Marco Morelli was the third fastest of the day on an Aspar bike, followed by Hakim Danish, fourth fastest on an MSI bike. The top five group also included Brian Uriarte from Ajo.
Adrián Fernández, on a Leopard Racing bike, recorded the sixth best time, followed by Scott Odgen, seventh with CIP. Máximo Quiles was the eighth fastest of the day with Aspar, while Veda Pratama from Team Asia was ninth. The Friday top-10 at Le Mans also included Valentin Perrone from Tech3.

The session that closed the day also served to define the 14 riders who advance directly to the decisive qualifying round this Saturday. Besides the top ten mentioned earlier, the list includes Joel Kelso, Matteo Bertelle, Jesús Ríos, and Eddie O’Shea.
Saturday’s Moto3 schedule will include a free practice session at 3:40 AM and qualifying at 7:45 AM. The French GP will be held on Sunday at 6 AM.
