This Sunday, the Farben team competed in the second race of the first stage of the Porsche Carrera Cup, in Interlagos, with Marçal Muller moving up three positions and securing a podium finish with fourth place in race 2. The representative of the category’s official automotive paint brand had won the first race, held on Saturday, securing the championship lead.

Starting from seventh on the grid, Marçal took advantage of the opportunity in the first corner and moved up to sixth place. On the following lap, the Farben driver moved up to fifth place.
The safety car was then deployed, with half of the race completed. The restart came at the start of lap 9 and Muller maintained his position in the top 5.
Muller arrived to try and keep up with the leaders’ fight and used the Boost to attack his competitor, who managed to neutralize the move. At the start of the final lap, again with the Boost, Muller passed the car ahead, securing fourth place and the championship lead.

The Farben team’s next commitment in the Porsche Carrera Cup takes place on March 28 and 29, at Velocitta.

“It was very important to have a great qualifying and race 1. We faced difficulties with overtaking today, but we didn’t want to take any risks, given what happened last year. Fourth place is solid, good for the championship and now we have to continue at this pace to fight for the title”
