Friday (24) of the Moto3 Spanish GP was marked by the dominance of Gaviota Aspar Team rider, Maximo Quiles. Racing at home, the 18-year-old led both FP1 and the official practice session at the Jerez Circuit.

After controlling much of the activity, Quiles confirmed his superiority in the final minutes by setting the best lap of the day, also securing the lead in the afternoon practice and closing a perfect Friday.
David Muñoz, from Dynavolt Intact, returned to competition after an absence in the previous two rounds and showed consistent performance. The Spaniard briefly held first position at the end of the session but finished second, ensuring a Spanish one-two. Valentín Perrone, from KTM Tech3, completed the top-3 with a solid lap, even after facing difficulties in the morning session.
In fourth place, Matteo Bertelle, from MTA, had his best Friday in over a year. After being the second fastest in the first free practice, the Italian maintained a good pace in the afternoon and secured a direct spot in Q2. Also ensuring his presence in the decisive phase, David Almansa, from Dynavolt Intact, finished fifth despite still dealing with pain from a recent elbow fracture. Among the Honda riders, Adrian Fernandez, from Leopard Racing, was the highlight, finishing sixth, 0s405 behind the leader.

The top-10 also featured a strong presence of rookies. Brian Uriarte, from KTM Ajo, finished seventh, followed by Adrian Cruces, from CIP GreenPower, in eighth. Marco Morelli, from Gaviota, took tenth position, while Casey O’Gorman, from SIC58 Squadra Corse, was 11th and Rico Salmela, from KTM Tech 3, 12th, all advancing directly to Q2.
Outside the direct qualification zone, some important names will have to compete in Q1. Among them are recent GP winner Guido Pini, from Leopard Racing, as well as Veda Pratama, from Honda Team Asia, and Joel Kelso, from MLav Racing, who was on the podium at the 2025 Spanish GP. Scott Ogden, from CIP GreenPower, crashed at turn 9 in the final minutes but managed to stay within the top 14 and advanced to Q2 in 14th place.
