São Paulo hosts this weekend the third round of the 2026 TCR South America Banco BRB season, which also scores points for TCR Brasil Banco BRB. Between April 24 and 26, the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, in Interlagos, will be the stage for the Super Challenge, a special format that becomes the main attraction of the calendar.

The race will be contested in a single one-hour race, with two drivers per car. The format values strategy, as tire management, pace, and pit stops — including driver changes — will have a direct impact on the result.
The Super Challenge Interlagos rules determine a mandatory driver change between laps 17 and 22, with no possibility of performing it during a safety car. The pit stop operation must last a minimum of 1min45 between entry and exit from the pits, under penalty of 90 seconds.
The event also marks the return of guest drivers, absent in 2025, increasing unpredictability on a circuit considered challenging like Interlagos.
Among the highlights are the 2025 TCR Europe champion, Jenson Brickley, who races with Enzo Gianfratti in a Cupra León VZ, and Alex Ley, the European leader, who shares the Hyundai Elantra N with Camilo Trappa.

The grid also brings together names like Julián Santero, Rodrigo Lugón, Gastón Iansa, and Mauricio Lambiris, as well as Brazilians like Galid Osman, who returns to the championship, Gaetano Di Mauro in his debut, and Nelson Piquet Jr., among others.
Gabryel Romano also changes teams and joins Hyundai MSA alongside Alberto Cattucci, while Mariano Pernía returns with Cobra Racing Team alongside Alex Seid.
The schedule begins on Friday with two free practice sessions. On Saturday, there is another practice and qualifying at 3 PM. The race takes place on Sunday (26), at 2 PM, with broadcast by BandSports, Terra, YouTube, and TV Gazeta on open TV.
