Enrico Pedrosa is the great pole-sitter for the Porsche Cup Sprint Challenge at Velocitta. On this hot Saturday morning (28) in the interior of São Paulo, the competitor recorded a time of 1min30s207 to take the position of honor on the grid.

Daniel Neumann tried to get close to his opponent, but with a time 0s240 slower, he will settle for second position. Will Cesar, Nicholas Garfinkel and Gabriel Guper complete the top-5.

As soon as the Carrera Cup qualifying ended, it was the Challenge’s turn to take to the track. The heat continued to punish the drivers and was very present at the Mogi Guaçu circuit.
As in the previous qualifying session, the first group of drivers to leave the pits was the Rookie class, with 15 minutes to set their times. As soon as the clock started, they immediately headed out for tire warm-up laps.
During the minutes of the first part of the session, some of the names that reached the top of the table were Raphael Bernardes, Cláudio Simão, Adriano Valverde and Lucas Castellani.
At the time of the checkered flag, it was Castellani who had the best mark in the Rookie group with a time of 1min32s295, followed by Bernardes, Simão, Valverde and Gabriel Cestari.
With the end of this first wave of competitors, it was time for the regulars from both the Sport class and the overall Sprint Challenge to leave the garages. In the first few minutes, they appeared shyly on the table, but soon began taking the top positions for themselves.

With only five minutes remaining in this phase of qualifying in Mogi Guaçu, Nicholas Garfinkel was leading the pack with 1min30210, while Enrico Pedrosa was just 0s014 behind the leader. Will Cesar was completing the top-3 at the time.
With the clock almost at zero, the ten drivers were already guaranteed in the top-10 and, therefore, were in the pits. Garfinkel, Pedrosa, Cesar, Daniel Neumann, Cecília Rabelo, Neto Heil, Sadak Leite, Guper, Marco Mascari and Gerson Campos were the names who would fight for pole position.
With the final phase of qualifying underway and in 15 minutes, the ten drivers would complete their fast laps to define the starting positions and try to grab the position of honor on the grid.
Times appearing on the table on a track that had already exceeded 40ºC in temperature, Neumann was in first with the provisional pole position after clocking 1min30s447, 0s146 faster than Cesar, in second.
Now, the time to beat was 1min30s207 recorded by Enrico Pedrosa. Neumann was right behind with a 0s240 gap to the leader.
Checkered flag and Pedrosa can celebrate his first pole in the Porsche Cup Sprint Challenge. Neumann, Cesar, Garfinkel and Guper start from the top five positions in race 1 in Mogi Guaçu.
