Formula 1 begins this Friday the schedule for the 2026 Chinese GP, the second stage of the season, with FP1 taking place at the Shanghai International Circuit. Brazilian fans will need to wake up early to follow the first activities of the weekend, which already include the definition of the Sprint grid.

The weekend in China follows the Sprint format, which means an intense schedule from the first day of activities. In addition to FP1, Friday will also feature the qualifying session that defines the starting grid for the Sprint, officially opening the competitive disputes of the stage.
Free Practice 1 of the Chinese GP will be held at 00h30 this Friday (13), Brasília time (GMT -3). A few hours later, at 04h30, the Sprint qualifying takes place, which will define the starting order for the short race scheduled for Saturday.
The Chinese GP Sprint will be held in the early hours of Saturday (14), starting at 00h00. Later, at 04h00, the qualifying session will be held to define the starting grid for Sunday’s main race.
The Chinese GP race is scheduled for the early hours of Sunday (15), also at 04h00 Brasília time. The race will be held at the traditional Shanghai International Circuit, a track that returned to the Formula 1 calendar and usually provides good overtaking opportunities.
