Race 1 of the seventh stage of TCR South America ended with a twist in Concordia, Argentina. Camilo Trappa crossed the finish line first after overtaking Leonel Pernía on the last lap, but a penalty changed the result. As a result, Tiago Pernía inherited the victory on the morning of this Sunday (13). Check out how the race went:

Green flag on a cold morning in Concordia and Leonel Pernía got a good start, maintaining the lead. The most important battle happened in the middle of the pack, with Joaquín Cafaro going off track and finishing in ninth place. Despite this, the first lap ended without incidents.
At the start of the second lap, Nestor Girolami went after Juan Ángel Rosso and managed to jump from sixth to fourth place, being followed by Raphael Reis in the overtaking. Further back, Enzo Gianfratti managed to place himself in 13th.
The race stabilized for a few minutes, with the drivers at a steady pace, without taking big risks. Gabryel Romano had to go to the pits and Gabriel Moura had to retire from the race. Both were in the top 10.
In front, Camilo Trappa began to pull time away from Pernía. At the moment he got closer, Enzo Giafrantti ended the attempt to fight after going off track and triggering the safety car.

The race resumed with three minutes still on the clock. Pernía managed to shake off Trappa, while Tiago Pernía advanced to third place, while Néstor Girolami lost ground.
On the last lap, Trappa advanced on Leonel Pernía. The two even touched and Trappa took the lead and received the checkered flag first, but ended up being penalized for the contact with Leonel and the victory went to Tiago Pernía.
Leonel Pernía finished second and Brazilian Raphael Reis took third place, followed by Juan Ángel Rosso and Nelson Piquet Jr.
Trappa ended up in sixth place, while Néstor Girolami was seventh. Joaquín Cafaro, Juan Casella, and Fabricio Pezzini closed the top 10 of Race 1 in Concordia.
