Marc Márquez was the fastest rider in the first free practice for the San Marino GP, the 14th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the session held on the morning of this Friday (11) at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, in Italy, the Ducati rider recorded his best lap time of 1min31s468, a time set in the final moments of the activity.

The second position ended up in the hands of Marco Bezzecchi, who with the Aprilia finished 0.060 seconds behind Márquez’s time. Raúl Fernández, with an Aprilia from Trackhouse, was the third fastest, finishing ahead of Álex Márquez, fourth with a Ducati from Gresini. Johann Zarco, with a Honda from LCR, completed the list of the top five.
Pedro Acosta, from KTM, finished the training with the sixth best time, ahead of Luca Marini, seventh with Honda. Championship leader Jorge Martín took eighth position with Aprilia, followed by Fabio Quartararo, ninth with Yamaha. Fabio Di Giannantonio, with a Ducati from VR46, took the tenth time. Diogo Moreira was 20th with LCR Honda.

The session featured crashes. Right in the initial seconds, Jack Miller fell with the Pramac Yamaha, while Acosta crashed at the first corner of the Italian circuit with the KTM.
From 10 a.m., the session that will define the ten riders who advance directly to Q2 of qualifying will be held. Saturday will have a free practice at 5:10 a.m., qualifying from 5:50 a.m., and the Sprint at 10 a.m. The San Marino GP will be held this Sunday at 9 a.m.
