MotoGP: Bezzecchi appears at the end and leads the last Friday practice in Aragón

Marco Bezzecchi was the fastest rider in the last free practice for the Aragón GP, the 13th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. In the session held late Friday morning (28) at MotorLand, a racetrack located in the Spanish city of Alcañiz, the Italian from Aprilia recorded his best lap at 1min45s455, already in the final moments of the training.

The second position ended up in the hands of Álex Márquez, a Ducati rider from Gresini who was beaten by Bezzecchi by only 0.010 seconds. Marc Márquez, who led most of the training, finished third with the Ducati, 0.035 seconds behind the best time. Fabio Di Giannantonio, with a VR46 Ducati, was fourth, while Fermín Aldeguer, from Gresini, closed the top 5.

Raúl Fernández, with an Aprilia from Trackhouse, closed the session with the sixth best time, ahead of Jorge Martín, championship leader and seventh with the Aprilia. Pedro Acosta, a KTM rider, was eighth, while Franco Morbidelli, from VR46, finished the session in ninth. Johann Zarco, back on the grid, closed the top 10 with an LCR Honda.

Brazilian Diogo Moreira managed to place himself in the top ten group in the final moments of the session but was overtaken by Zarco and finished the training with the 11th best time. Thus, the LCR Honda rider will have to go through Q1 qualifying scheduled for early Saturday morning.

The activity featured a crash with just over 12 minutes remaining in the session. Jack Miller, a Pramac rider, Yamaha’s satellite team, went down at turn 2 of the Spanish circuit.

The MotoGP schedule in Alcañiz will continue this Saturday (29), with another free practice at 5:10, qualifying starting at 5:50, and the Sprint at 10:00. The Aragón GP will be held on Sunday, starting at 9:00.
