“A difficult day. I expected the weather conditions to last longer, as I think we could have had an interesting race in those mixed conditions, but unfortunately, it was not possible. We don’t have car pace. We need to ensure we bring performance to the car, efficiently and quickly, but that won’t happen in the next races,” he said.

As for the Spaniard, who during the race collided with his teammate and was even penalized, he finished the day only in 16th. “First of all, I apologize to Alex and the team for the contact at the end of the race. Obviously, it was the last thing I wanted to end a weekend that was already difficult. Once again, I apologize to him and the team,” he commented.

The positive side is that we found some solutions and gained good learnings to take to the next races, so we will seek to come back stronger in Monza,” he concluded.
