Marco Bezzecchi was the fastest rider in the session that closed Friday (7) activities for the British GP, the 12th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. The Aprilia rider recorded his best lap at the Silverstone circuit in 1min56s280, securing the best time of the day and guaranteeing a spot in the group of ten riders who advance directly to Q2 of the qualifying.

Second place went to Raúl Fernández, who with an Aprilia from Trackhouse finished 0.335 seconds behind Bezzecchi’s time. Fabio Di Giannantonio, with a Ducati from VR46, finished third, followed by Jorge Martín, championship leader and fourth with the Aprilia. Ai Ogura, from Trackhouse, completed the top 5.
Marc Márquez, with a Ducati, ended the session with the sixth best time, ahead of Álex Márquez, seventh with a Ducati from Gresini and fastest in the first session. Joan Mir, with Honda, was eighth, while Jack Miller, with a Yamaha from Pramac, was ninth. Pedro Acosta, from KTM, closed the list of the top ten fastest.
The only Brazilian on the MotoGP grid, Diogo Moreira finished the session in 15th place aboard a Honda from the LCR team. The rider managed to place himself in the top ten group in the final quarter of the session but was eventually overtaken by rivals.

With 16 minutes remaining, Brad Binder crashed with the KTM, without causing stoppages in the Silverstone activity. With five minutes to go in the session, it was Francesco Bagnaia’s turn to crash with the Ducati at turn 6 of the English circuit. Shortly after, Pedro Acosta fell at turn 4 with the KTM.
The MotoGP schedule at Silverstone will continue this Saturday (8), first with the free practice at 7:10 am, followed by qualifying at 7:50 am. The Sprint, which will have ten laps, is scheduled for the same day, starting at noon. The British GP will be held on Sunday, with the start at 9 am.
