Ernesto Rivera won in the early hours of this Sunday (19) the main race of the sixth round of the 2026 Formula 3 season, held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. The Campos Racing driver started from fourth position and took the lead only on the 12th of the 15 laps by overtaking Freddie Slater, securing the victory.

Second place went to Hiyu Yamakoshi, a Van Amersfoort driver who finished 1.6 seconds behind Rivera. Slater, who started from pole position with a Trident car, completed the podium in third place, followed by Mattia Colnaghi, fourth with Van Amersfoort. The top five group also included Maciej Gladysz, driving an ART Grand Prix car.
Taito Kato, from ART Grand Prix, finished the race in sixth position, just ahead of Tuukka Taponen, seventh with MP Motorsport. Sprint winner Jin Nakamura was eighth with Hitech, while Alessandro Giusti, an MP Motorsport driver, was ninth. The points zone was completed by Brando Badoer, tenth with Rodin Motorsport.
The race was one to forget for the Brazilian drivers on the Formula 3 grid. Pedro Clerot, who started seventh, lost many positions at the start and, despite trying to recover, crossed the finish line only in 14th with Rodin Motorsport. Fernando Barrichello retired from the race due to problems with the AIX Racing car.

The race at Spa-Francorchamps featured a Safety Car deployment. On the very first lap, Yevan David was stranded in the gravel with the AIX Racing car, forced to retire from the race. Those who continued until the end but finished only in 21st position was Ugo Ugochukwu, who had been running tenth with Campos Racing but dropped off in the latter half of the race.
The 2026 Formula 3 season will continue next weekend with the Hungarian round, scheduled for the Hungaroring circuit.
