Gabriel Bortoleto showed optimism for the Belgian GP of Formula 1. After advancing to Q3 in qualifying this Saturday (18), the Brazilian admitted that it will not be an easy fight, but he will give his best to fight for more points.

The Audi driver managed to advance to the final phase of qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps and despite having the ninth fastest time, he took advantage of penalties to Lando Norris and Isack Hadjar and lines up eighth on Sunday, 19.
Gabriel arrived in Belgium boosted by the good result in Austria, where he was eighth, and now hopes that the good position and improvement at the start will put him in a position to fight for another top-10 in F1 2026. “I hope we can fight for points,” he told SporTV.

“We know it’s not easy, we know that in the race we need to put ourselves in a position where we can’t be attacked too much on the straights, mainly. So that’s it, tomorrow is to try to make the best possible start. I have to be honest, here in practice we managed to improve our starts,” he said.
“I hope this materializes and that we can maintain the consistency we have had in practice. And that’s it. So let’s say I’m positive for tomorrow’s race, but I know it won’t be easy against the Racing Bulls. We know they are a little faster, I managed to take one of them out of Q3, but the race won’t be easy. But I will give my best and, as always, try everything,” he concluded.
