NASCAR Brasil has started a technical standardization project in partnership with Hexagon, a global digital reality solutions company, with the goal of making the technical control of vehicles more precise, rigorous, and efficient starting from the 2026 season.

The initiative resulted in the creation of three-dimensional digital models of the new 2026 Mustang and Camaro, called RiSE26, which will serve as the official reference for the category. For the development of the digital twins, HYPERSCAN and MARVELSCAN portable 3D scanners were used, along with Geomagic Design X reverse engineering software, responsible for generating high-fidelity CAD models.
The digitization process occurred in three stages: full body scanning, capture of smaller and critical components such as suspension and mounting points, and integration of data into complete virtual replicas of the vehicles. These models expand the technical inspection capacity, especially in a category where, despite the individual construction of the cars, there are mandatory standards for chassis, engine, and bodywork, with adjustments allowed only within regulated limits.
According to Thiago Marques, representative of NASCAR Brasil, the technology raises the level of technical control. “The technology brings precision and agility to measurement, ensuring there is no variation between the cars. With this, we can focus on what really matters. This innovation has the potential to revolutionize motorsport, not only in NASCAR but across the entire sector,” he stated.

For automotive engineer Gustavo Bansho, the use of digital models represents an important advancement for the category’s engineering. “With highly accurate CAD models, it becomes possible to compare bodyworks of different cars and identify even the smallest variations between them,” he highlighted.
The adoption of digital twins also reduces inspection and homologation time, in addition to bringing NASCAR Brasil closer to the technical guidelines of NASCAR in the United States, reinforcing the principles of sporting fairness and high performance in national motorsport.
