The seventh stage of the 2026 Porsche Cup Brasil C6 Bank season this weekend will open with another record: no less than 81 drivers in action at Interlagos. It is an absolute record of participants in a sprint event of the category of the most produced racing cars in the world.

With 38 competitors registered, the fullest grid is that of the Carrera, which holds its penultimate stage of the calendar in the short race championship. Thus, the rule of two qualifying sessions and two races awarding full points applies, without grid inversion for race 2.
Leader of the championship for practically the whole year, Marçal Muller has 159 points and has made the difference especially on the Saturdays of the sprint championship. With three wins and a second place in the 2026 race 1s, the Porsche #544 driver has a 24-point lead over vice-leader Lucas Salles, who arrives at Interlagos boosted by his first victory in the main division, precisely in the most recent 25-minute race of the year, held in Algarve. Completing the Carrera top 5 are Antonella Bassani (133 points), Jeff Giassi (130), and the multi-champion Miguel Paludo (with 124). It is worth noting that with 112 points still up for grabs in the remaining four races in 2026, many still dream of the title in the F1 preliminary in November.
But this week’s double round will be crucial to credential the real contenders for the Carrera crown, whose 2026 championship will have only one discard after the final race. In Carrera Sport, Seba Malucelli arrives in São Paulo leading with 87 points, against 67 of his closest pursuer, Israel Salmen. The Porsche #31 driver had a perfect stage in Algarve, acing the event. Before that, he had won the division race at Interlagos at the start of the year.
Pipo Massa won 5 of the 8 Carrera Rookie races this year, including complete dominance in the opening round at Interlagos. Depending on the combination of results, the youngest on the grid could even become unreachable in points this weekend, putting both hands on the title in his first year on the tracks.
In the cases of Challenge and Trophy, which had calendar changes due to ongoing works in Goiânia, there are still three stages left until the end of the championship. Thus, the Challenge championship will not end at the F1 preliminary but rather the following weekend, when stage 3 will be held at Interlagos.
The class of 991.2 generation cars will have 22 entrants in action this weekend, promising once again a lot of excitement at Interlagos. Gerson Campos leads the championship after acing the Interlagos and Algarve stages. He has 145 points, but the 38-point lead over Daniel Neumann and 41 over Will Cesar does not accurately reflect how competitive the six races of the year were, especially after Enrico Pedrosa’s debut in stage 2, with two wins at Velocitta.

The Trophy holds its third stage of the year and has the Interlagos winner Sergio Laurentys in the lead, with 51 points. He has only a one-point advantage over Neylson Almeida, who was second both in São Paulo and Mogi Guaçu.
All activities of the Porsche Cup Brasil C6 Bank this weekend have live broadcasts on the official digital platforms of the category. On Saturday, race 1s are shown by Band and Bandsports, with the cable channel also showing the Carrera and Challenge races on Sunday.
